The East Anglian Air Ambulance Charity presents a life-saving medical service throughout the Eastern counties, 365 days a year with two thoroughly equipped Air Ambulance helicopters that hold the latest medical gear and our highly-trained team. It costs over £4 Million yearly to maintain our helicopters in active service and our charitable organization is entirely independently funded through fund-raising functions, commercial contributions and donations. Our charitable organization has lots of ways that businesses will be able to get involved with ‘Business on Board’ corporate sponsorship and we now welcome charitable donations from the Social Enterprises.
Social Enterprises are organizations that are set up to be effective for community requirements and the environment. However they are unique from typical commercial enterprise because instead of being profitable for the shareholders and entrepreneurs; Social Enterprise UK firms reinvest their own profits back into charities; and consequently in the long run, funding a much better | far better | greater | superior | improved quality of life for the whole of community. You'll find more than 60,000 Social Enterprises in the United Kingdom, employing just about a million people, that contributes £24 Billion to the UK economy. In enterprises that work across the board of U.K. market sectors; from health and social care, renewable energy for local communities to recycling construction waste products into reusable goods to other areas of social need in education and learning, sport and local community facilities and tackling enviromentally friendly issues; for the benefit of all, not one persons wealth.
